Windows help won't run

I can no longer run Windows 98 Help. When I try to open it I get a message saying 'Cannot open the file %systemroot%\help\windows.chm'. I can find no reference to this file if I search my hard drive for CHM extensions, nor on the Windows 98 CD.

The file windows.chm is in one of the compressed cabinet (CAB) files on the Windows 98 CD. It is in the file Win98_28.cab on the Windows 98 CD and Win98_25.cab on the Windows 98 SE CD. If you open the Windows 98 folder on the CD in Windows Explorer, you will see the CAB files listed. If you click on the one you want, its contents will be displayed in a new Explorer window, just like a normal folder. Locate the file windows.chm, drag and drop it into the Windows Help folder of your hard disk.
